Buildingsense is an Australian company with its headquarters in Sydney, an office in Perth, and regional support office in Bathurst, NSW. It is currently serviced by SAUTER Controls certified professionals out of the local areas and have components locally available to support every project in the country.

Buildingsense, a subsidiary of BuildingIQ, is supported by a 24×7 Network Operations Center overlooking every building with a SAUTER deployment. Buildingsense has been deployed in over 70 installations across Sydney, Bathurst, and Perth with Service Level Agreements in place to exceed customer expectations.

Board of Directors

Michael Nark

Michael Nark is President and CEO of BuildingIQ and Managing Director at Buildingsense. Michael brings over 25 years of experience in software and technology-enabled service delivery businesses. He recently served as President and CEO of Power Analytics. He has a proven track record of building successful, efficient organisations and experience in leading companies to profitable growth. Prior to Power Analytics, he was President and CEO of Prenova, an energy management services provider to the C&I marketplace, where he led the business to triple-digit growth. Prior to Prenova, he served as President and CEO of GEOCOMtms, a fleet management software provider to the oil and gas industry. Michael holds a B.S. in Applied Sciences from Miami University.

H. Willian Deane

H. William Deane has been a Director of BuildingIQ since October 2012 and has been a member of the BuildingIQ PtyLtd Board since its formation in 2009. William is a Managing Director of Exto Partners Pty Ltd, a private investment firm based in Sydney. He has successfully managed IPOs, mergers, and acquisitions for Exto’s portfolio companies. Prior to joining Exto Partners, William was a corporate lawyer in New York with Sidley Austin LLP and Skadden, Arp, Slate, Meagher and Flom LLP, and in Australia with Ashursts (formerly Blake Dawson Waldron). He advised domestic and international corporations on capital raising, stock exchange listing (NYSE, NASDAQ and ASX), mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters. William was admitted to practice law in Victoria, Australia and New York, USA and has an L.L.B. (hons) from Bond University 1995 and a B.A (hons) from the University of Sydney 1992. William is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a Non-executive Director of RedHill Education (RDH : ASX) and chair of its Audit and Risk Committee.

Hari Singh

Hari Singh is an engineering professional with 30 years of experience in automation, instrumentation, electrical and business management. Hari is an efficient controls engineer with a strong mechanical and electrical background. He has extensive experience leading teams, business development, sales, account management, service management, systems operations, and revenue management. Hari has a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and has completed a Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Roy Arindam

Roy Arindam is Managing Director – Construction Services for Buildingsense. He leads the operations and business expansion team spanning delivery of SAUTER automation solutions to the greenfield sector and analytics services to the existing buildings segment. Roy has more than fifteen years of combined entrepreneurial experience working for companies like Alerton Australia, Wormald Fire Service, Siemens, and of course BuildingIQ and Buildingsense. He has been instrumental in the implementation of automation technologies in 200+ buildings and the introduction of Artificial Intelligence using FDD in over 100 buildings across Australia and parts of Asia-Pacific. Roy has an MBA in Marketing with a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.

Suman Chakraborty

Suman Chakraborty leads the Operations & Sales team for Buildingsense in Sydney, NSW. Suman has more than fifteen years of experience with an international career spanning across Siemens, Honeywell, Oztech and now with BuildingSense. He has been instrumental in driving the growth of the SAUTER brand in the East Coast of Australia with strategic projects in the government, healthcare and education sectors. Suman has a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Wayne Thompson

Wayne Thomson leads the Operations team in Perth, WA. Wayne has more than 10 years of experience in the Perth, WA market in various electrical-related disciplines. He had prior success as an Electrical Supervisor with Electromaster WA and major leading mining projects across Western Australia . Wayne is an A Grade Electrician by trade and is responsible currently also for delivering the major Forrestfield Airport Link project for Buildingsense.
